representation of Exhibitors to show and demonstrate the latest in new products, equipment and décor (including a zip line), this year will feature an exciting Educational Program prior to the JAM. The subject matter is of relevance to all attendees no matter what discipline you may specialize in.
Robb Kempken, VP of IBISWorld will present an economic forecast for the Event Industry. IBISWorld provides banks with market intelligence information on various industries and the Event Industry is one of the 700 industries that IBISWorld tracks. This presentation will highlight interesting content from an economic perspective, a topic relevant to all industry professionals.
Beverly Oviedo will present on the formation of International Standards for the Event Industry to be submitted for accreditation by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Beverly is the founder of Sustainable Solutions Design and has taught classes on sustainability at CSU San Francisco, CSU Chico and Monterey Bay.
We are very excited that the Association of Bridal Consultants, the Wedding Industry Professionals Association and the Orange County Chapter of ISES have scheduled their September meetings in conjunction with The JAM at Santa Anita. Memberships of numerous other Industry Associations are invited to join us for this unique Program.
In the more distant future, November will feature one of the chapter's annual highlights, Meet the Masters. If you have ever attended one of these programs, you know how exciting and informative it can be to interact face to face with several "Stars" of our Industry. Previous years Masters include David Tutera, Mindy Weiss, Marley Majcher, David Merrill, Joella Hopkins, Carol Rosen and many others. The Programs Committee is now forming our Masters Team for this year. This is absolutely a must attend for anyone in our Industry. If you miss it...you truly miss out!
Your ISES LA Board of Directors is hard at work to bring you meaningful creative events. For updates on these and other monthly programs, please visit the ISES LA website regularly.
I look forward to seeing you at the August ISES Event at the LA Exchange where the Wise Guys will present an evening of interactive gaming. This is going to be fun!!
