A Message From President Ilona Hobbs
As President of ISES Los Angeles Chapter, I am
asked by
prospective members why should they join ISES. I try
to
respond with a personal experience that exemplifies
how
joining and getting involved can truly be a
grand-scale
benefit. 
One of the foremost reasons is how
members help
other members without even realizing it. Below is one
such
experience.
In support of the ISES LA Fundraiser in March, I
called on
my major accounts in the Pasadena area with the hopes
of
either increasing the attendance or securing an
auction item.
At the conclusion of the solicitation, I would leave
the
invitation and donation form. One of my accounts was
really
impressed with the invitation. They loved the
creativity of
the invitation and it was a exact fit to the vision
for
expanding their business.
Lisa Dawson of Right Brain Creative Services
received a
call and RFP. The last time I spoke with Lisa, she was
happily
anticipating a confirmation order. Lisa has been on
the ISES
Board for four years. She has served as Communications
Director and Allied Association Director. She is
continuing
her dedication and support by accepting the nomination
to be
Treasurer during the 2004-2005 term.
