Thank You ISES LA!

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder.
You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger.
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed.
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean.
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens.
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance.
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance...I hope you dance.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance.
Never settle for the path of least resistance.
Livin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin'.
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter.
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider.
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance.
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance...I hope you dance.

Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along.
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone?

Thank you ISES LA - it's been an incredible journey these past two years and I am forever glad that I chose to dance with you.

Jackie Korman
President, ISES-LA

P.S. These words are from the song "I Hope You Dance" (Mark D Sanders/Tia Sillers, sung by LeeAnn Womack). It is particularly moving for me so next time you hear it, take a moment to think about the opportunities in your life and how you see them.

6/18/03 Windows to the City of Angels With a Bonus Hour of Education from 5 - 6pm

By Brian Leslie, Visionsinlight.com

Welcome to Metropolis Ladies and Gents! Time for another fun-filled mixer with a twist - an important hour of education prior to the regular mixer! This month our host venue is none other than "Windows Restaurant and Lounge". Some may remember this fine restaurant within the Downtown Sky-line, as "Tower". Mix and mingle in this 60's style supper club on top of the world. This intimate venue with a capacity of 360 guests within 12,000 square feet is available for special events morning, noon and night.

From 5:00 to 6:00pm a forum will be held on creating events in the new safety conscious environment! Greg Jenkins, BRAVO Productions and Bob Estrin, Bob Estrin's Creative Events, will facilitate a discussion of how planners, clients and technical providers are coping with the increased awareness and enforcement since the Rhode Island fire tragedy.

If you loved the city views of Hollywood at last month's mixer, join us here at Windows Restaurant for additional high in the sky panoramic fun on June 18, 2003. Choose from a list of over 50 tantalizing martinis. Martini vodka will be sponsored by VOX Vodka, linens will be provided by BBJ Linen and we'll enjoy beautiful entertainment from Ronnie Jayne, A Song For You Productions. We'll delight in a Caesar salad and assorted hors d'oeuvres to start, followed by Windows' Chicken Marsala and fine deserts.

Windows Restaurant/Lounge is located at 1150 S. Olive St. on the 32nd Floor in downtown Los Angeles in the TransAmerica Building. Valet parking is available for $5.00 with validation, $10.00 without. Street parking is available as well.

5/21/03 The Highlands' Hollywood View

5/21/03 The Sparkle has Returned to The Eye of Hollywood

By Brian Leslie, Visionsinlight.com

At our May mixer, the vista was stunning from The Highlands, located in the Hollywood & Highland complex in the heart of Hollywood. Views overlook the entire City of Angels via outdoor terraces. The Highlands is definitely a fantastic place for an upcoming event!

The Highlands revitalizes the glamour and style of old Hollywood in a new, state-of-the-art venue. This club offers a fresh canvas for event planners in every aspect. The catering, by renowned Chef Wolfgang Puck was eye-catching, with subtle and savory fare (and of course recognizable). The signature pizzas were a familiar treat, but the Spicy Tuna in Sesame Miso Cones were simply art. Delectable Miniature Chocolate Truffle Cakes oozed with creamy chocolate and the Miniature Ginger Cr=C3=A8me Brulees were perfection.

Hooray for Hollywood!

Our fabulous showcasers last month included The Highlands, Wolfgang Puck, BBJ Linen, Silver Birches, The Rosenblum Twins, Matt Messina and his Jazz Trio, and Headliner DJ, Johnny Knight.
