It is hard to believe that just a few short years ago it
all started with a suggestion·"Let's sell table tops next
month at the mixer". Well that idea has turned this event into
what has now become known industry-wide as the "Mixer Not To
Miss", ISES-LA's Joint Allied Mixer, now called The JAM.
Wednesday, August 21st at 20th Century Props, over 550
industry professionals and 80 exhibitors connected in true
ISES-LA style. Attendees from Southern California's
hospitality industry associations - ISES, ABC, ASAE, HSMAI,
MPI, NACE and NSA joined together to meet exhibitors from all
aspects of the event industry and enjoy outstanding cuisine
from Debbie's Dinners. Dcor and production, locations and
linens, games and entertainment, caterers and special effects,
to mention just a few, were showcased with many exhibitors
getting new clients immediately afterwards.
ISES-LA would especially like to thank two companies who
came to the rescue at the 11th hour to make this event such a
success: King Dahl of King Dahl Event Design, for the fabulous
lighting and Albert Funfstuck of Classic Party Rentals for the
entire kitchen and serving rentals. Thank you King and Albert,
we are so very grateful to you both for your support of
ISES-LA.
In designing the event, David Merrell and Cindy Wiedenheft
of An Original Occasion choose just the right elements from
20th Century Props' 100,000+ square foot warehouse of the most
extensive collection of props to be found anywhere. Talk about
two kids let loose in a candy factory! Thank you David and
Cindy for all of your hard work and your continued commitment
to ISES-LA.
None of the fabulous exhibits and dcor would have been
seen if it hadn't been for Scott Walters of Kohler Event
Services who supplied generators and power distribution.
Kohler also provided power to all 80 exhibitors. In addition,
complimentary wireless Internet connection was available from
Michele Em and Alex Pournelle of Location Connect.
See below for a complete list of companies that were
Showcase Sponsors at The JAM 2002. Also a big thank you to the
entire JAM 2002 Team that gave of their time and talents to
make this year's event such a success.
ISES-LA graciously thanks all those who have supported this
event and those who continue to support the chapter in its
mission to provide the very best to the members. Hire
Excellence! Hire Professionals! Hire Integrity! HIRE ISES!
Thanks to These JAM Showcase Sponsors
