A Message From the President

We should all be proud that the Los Angeles Chapter of ISES is greatly respected by our peers. Many ISES Chapters look to us to get ideas on how to promote and manage their chapters. Members and potential members alike have expressed their appreciation and excitement for the monthly programs we have produced. The Board is constantly addressing the need for change and improvement. We seriously consider each of our member's comments. We need your help to keep fresh and exciting programs coming your way.

Please consider joining one of ISES LA's committees. The committees are the backbone of this organization! Here are the active teams working on your behalf. Contact the Board Member listed to help out:

Next Week's 10/15/03 Meeting
Buckle Up & Hit It At Three Universal Studios Citywalk Venues!

By Brian Leslie, Visionsinlight.com

It's high octane fun at next Wednesday's ISES Mixer! Universal Citywalk at Universal Studios Hollywood is our destination and you are in for some serious fun, food and games. Ever wanted to drive a race car!? Buckle up and hit 200MPR in a full-sized official NASCAR Winston Cup simulator for a realistic racing experience. Drive your own car and lap your ISES friends to the finish line!

Take in the spectacular shimmering sights that can only be seen at night on the fabulous Universal Citywalk, as we head for Stratacasters, Blue Suede Shoes and a chandelier made of 32 brass saxophones! It can only be one place. The Hard Rock Cafe! You'll be famished after making it through the rigors of NASCAR.

Next stop, roof top patio fun presented by Starz Entertainment, a driving force in event entertainment, with game show based on the nights activities. Then it's time for more hootin' and hollerin' at Howl At the Moon. If this is your first time, you're in for a treat. Howl At The Moon gives new meaning to term "Piano bar", with dueling pianos, guest participation, singing and dancing to your favorite tunes and that's just for starters. Valet parking is $4.00 with validation available at registration. There is no cover charge at Howl at The Moon for ISES attendees during this event and your first drink is just $1.00. We suggest bumping up your Thursday morning appointments. Just a suggestion...

9/17/03 Union Restaurant Mixer

September Mixer- Of Mind And Spirit - Union Restaurant

By Brian Leslie, Visionsinlight.com

In September, we enjoyed a beautiful evening at Union Restaurant located at 1413 Fifth Street in the city of Sant Monica for another successful ISES Mixer. There was a large turnout for Debbie Bermont 's informative presentation of "How To Keep Your Referral Pipeline Full." Union's elegant motif is presented via a tasteful mix of decor, including original artwork, sculpture, fountains and a rooftop-style outdoor courtyard.

The presentation was followed by cocktails and tray passed hors d' oeuvres. The Tuna Tartar on Crispy Wonton with Lemongrass Vinaigrette was epic. This California/Contemporary eatery is an excellent location for events that require the indoor/outdoor LA style we know and love here in sunny Southern California.

Our fantastic September Showcasers included:
Union Restaurant - Venue, Catering and Bar
Education - Source Communications
Photography - HMP Photography
